2. The site structure
The pages consist of the following regions
Sidebar Right - is absent on the display pages of topics, posts and user
The content types:
Basic page is used for separate pages such as "About Us"
Blog entry is used for blog pages
Topic is used for creating new topics
Post is used for creating new posts
The sections of posts display are implemented using "Views" module
Taxonomy vocabulary "Categories" is used for categorizing topics
The number of topics displayed at a time is 12,
If you want to increase the number of the pins then you need to change parameter "Pager" in the settings of the views
Categories Topics http://site.name/admin/structure/views/view/categories_topics/edit
Taxonomy term http://site.name/admin/structure/views/view/taxonomy_term/edit
Front page http://site.name/admin/structure/views/view/frontpage/edit
It's necessary to make a backup of all files and a database before updating any modules, theme or Drupal core.
The output of content on the main page is limited to "Topic" content type, the selection of "Promote to front page" checkbox places content in "Featured Topics" section (this is the main page by default).
"Post" content type is output only on the topic page that corresponds to this content type. The output of a separate post is not provided.
If you add content types for the output in categories or on the main page, keep in mind, that you will need a template, the same as for "Topic" content type, otherwise you will break the appearance of these pages.
Disabling of "DrupIt Helper" module will lead to a complete inoperability of the site. Never disable this module.
The functionality of linking posts to topics is implemented on the basis of "book" module. The standard management of "book" module doesn't work for "Topic" and "Post" content types. The additional functionality implemented in "DrupIt Helper" module is used for these content types.
It's not recommended to manage content of these content types with the help of "book" module (the given functionality is available for administrator).
If you want to use "book" module with standard functionality on your site then you will need to create a new content type and make appropriate settings of "book" module (see the documentation of "book" module).
