ThemeSnap Forums Moved to Zendesk

We decided a few weeks ago to move all new forum activity to our Zendesk account. We did this for several reasons, which I'll note briefly below:

  1. Zendesk gives us the ability to quickly move forums threads/posts into tickets with its two-way "Ticket-to-Article Integration"
  2. The new Zendesk forums allow us and users to upload image snapshots to their forum post, tag their forums (for better searching), and rate forum "articles."
  3. Zendesk has a nice full-text search capability for "related topics" and its core search functionality that provides topics that can help users find what they need more easily and quickly.
  4. We can scale more easily with Zendesk and new features added over the coming months and well into 2012 and beyond.

Let us know your thoughts on our new forums home. Our goal is to better support themes and the forums and we felt like we truly needed a more robust system to handle what's to come!

I don't mind the move, but are we able to see the old forums with all the old information. It was great to sort thru other peoples issues and see how to fix my own.  Or are the old ones dead and unable to be used...seems like a great resource to just remove.

Hi, yes. And I also noted this in the older forums on every single forum page (top of page):

ThemeSnap.com Forums have Moved! Please note that our forums have moved here: New ThemeSnap.com Forums. You will still be able to read forum threads in the forum categories or threads here. However, you will not be able to post new forum topics or replies to existing threads. Please post any new forum articles in our new forum section by registering a new account.

So, all older forum posts are going to stay in tact for reference.

    Thanks

Does it mean that, all support email we send to you are published on forums ?

Because I don't like and I don't agree to publish my emails on forum.

    Hi Max,

No, it does not mean this at all. Support tickets are never published, unless we ask the requester's permission (this has only happened twice since we've used Zendesk).

What you post in the forums here, like on this page for example, is open for anyone to see.

Support ticket emails back and forth, i.e. from a ticket number only (not forums), is never published anywhere but the secure ticket area between that customer and ourselves.

Hope this make more sense now.

    Thanks

yes it make more sense now, I ask that because in other sites they publish your support request in public forum and I don't like this way to work, very bad.

    Thanks
